Terms of Service
The agreement between you and us when you use ClearAI — written to be read, not skimmed past.

1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of this ClearAI instance, operated by ClearAI, based in Slovenia (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use ClearAI.
2. The service
ClearAI is a workspace for chatting with AI models made by third parties. We don’t create those models; responses are generated by the provider you select. Features may change as we improve the product.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old, to use ClearAI.
- Provide accurate information and keep your sign-in credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us promptly about any unauthorized use.
4. Free tier
The free tier lets you send a daily allowance of messages to free models available through OpenRouter. Free models are shared resources: they may be slow, rate-limited, replaced or unavailable, and ClearAI may switch to another free model automatically. We may change the allowance, the available models, or end the free tier at any time.
5. Bring your own key
- When you add an API key, requests made with it are billed to your account with that provider. You are responsible for those charges; ClearAI doesn’t add any fees or markup.
- You must comply with each provider’s terms of service and usage policies.
- We store your keys encrypted with AES-256-GCM and use them only to fulfil your requests. You can remove them at any time.
There is no paid plan. We don’t sell subscriptions or credits, and we will never charge you for using ClearAI.
6. Acceptable use
Provider policies apply to every request, including the Anthropic Usage Policy and Supported Regions Policy when using Claude. Do not bypass provider safeguards, restricted-region rules, or account restrictions.
You agree not to use ClearAI to:
- Break the law, or infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or other rights.
- Create or share content that sexualizes minors, or that harasses, threatens or incites violence.
- Generate malware, run attacks, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours.
- Circumvent limits or security measures — for example by creating multiple accounts to evade the free-tier allowance — or overload the service with automated traffic.
- Resell or redistribute access to the service, or violate the usage policies of any AI provider.
- Use provider inputs or outputs to train or distill another AI model without the provider’s authorization.
- Use generated content for fraud, deceptive impersonation, unlawful surveillance or discriminatory decisions.
7. Your content
You keep ownership of what you submit and, to the extent permitted by law and the provider’s terms, of the output you receive. You grant us a limited license to store, process and transmit your content solely to operate the service for you. If you create a share link, anyone with the link can read that conversation until you revoke it.
8. AI output
AI models can be wrong, incomplete, outdated or offensive, and can present made-up information with confidence. Review output before relying on it, and don’t use it as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial or other advice.
You are interacting with AI. Independently verify factual claims and citations before using or sharing them. ClearAI is not intended to make consequential decisions about people; qualified professionals must review high-risk advice.
9. Third-party services
ClearAI relies on third parties such as Supabase, OpenRouter, AI model providers and search providers. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren’t responsible for their availability, output or conduct.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using ClearAI at any time and delete your account from Settings → Data — export your data first if you want to keep it. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or put the service or other users at risk.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, profits or revenue. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use ClearAI after changes take effect means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of Slovenia, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
